Ive never owned one, but we got two...one for me and my sister (both toshiba E105s from best buy), and i cant say that im so happy with the construction of it.
I just dont know if its normal or not. The front part of the bezel isnt even glued on all the way, we can both push down and hear it click when it becomes flush with the bezel, and the bezel attached to the screen like, moves off of the screen when you push it from the outside in (its not even attached all the way).
So, normal or not?
Im scared that itll get progressively worse and i should just return it while i can.

The initial impression of a laptop is the best. If, even after a short period of use, you are not satisfied with build or general quality, I would advise a return - it will not magically grow better over time.
Now, if it is an issue of getting used to something (ie, CPU whine, a touchpad that is harder to track over when fingers are moist), then perhaps you should try using the laptop for a while longer and see if you stop caring that much about the issue.
From your description, it seems like case A for you. I personally really dislike Toshiba laptops (I've never owned one, but I've played with a few of my friend's). In their consumer line, build quality is subpar compared to consumer laptops from Dell and HP, and the glossy everything bothers me a lot. Their business line is just plain bland. -
no.. laptops should not be like that, midnightsun is right, toshiba quality is not the best, but i think it's probably just your model that has that problem, if you ever want to get a new laptop, i suggest dell
Is it normal for laptops to be kinda shoddy?
