    Hi,
Considering my notebook, is it possible to upgrade the processor to a Turion ZM 80. It has a TDP of 32W compared to 31W for the TL58.
    The important question are:
    - Will the processor run at 3.6Ghz FSB or 1.6Ghz.
    - Will it support DDR2 800 RAM.

    Thanks

I highly doubt the Turion ultra processors will work. I believe the fastest CPU your system can use is the TL-68.
But I do recall a lot of posts about your processor troubles with the TL6x processors from AMD. I wouldnt go spend more money on a cpu, because I do not think your system will support it.

I am also somewhat skeptical about the compatability, that is why I was wondering if somebody has tried it before.
    The problem with TL66 was heat (35 TDP), ZM80 is 32TDP, TL 58 (31TDP).

Actually I might be doing some database work in the future, hence, the extra cache might come in handy. The speed bump of .2Ghz is insignificant.

According to the Almighty Wikipedia, the Turion Ultras are not pin-compatible with other Turion models. Thus, the upgrade to an Ultra is not possible.
