    Hello all. Is it possible to upgrade GeForce 8400m gs to another video card?? Laptop is HP DV9525EN with 17" widescreen. I am just wondering is it possible to ugrade to another better video card, because some games like fifa 2008 runs very bad and slowly.Thanks for answers.

    Most likely not since I'm thinking the GPU is soldered onto the motherboard. Also, HP's spec pages says, "Up to 383 MB (128 MB dedicated)" so it may rely on the system memory for anything above 128MB.

    Its soldered on, ive seen it.

    Everest detects the controller as a desktop.

    Doesn't mean that it's removeable. Just means that the GPU is using 16x PCI-express lanes. Which every GPU does today normally, integrated as removeable GPU's.

    Shared video memory is a sign that the GPU is soldered onto the motherboard and is definately not removeable.

    Wow, tricky. It uses the PCI-E bus so it must be removable. In fact, any card that uses a PCI-E bus will probably work then.
    Why don't you buy a card like this and post results on how that worked for you.

    There is a reason I said "It's NOT POSSIBLE."
