Currently I have 2 DDR3 memory modules installed with 2 GB each one. I need more then 4 GB of memory. I'd like to install 8 or at least 6 GB.
    Asus website says here:
Does this mean that I cannot install more then 4 GB?

I don't own this particular notebook, but based on my experience with those Arrendale CPUs and chipsets, and with ASUS, it is VERY unlikely that this notebook won't support 8GB of RAM (2x4GB).

Actually, i've seen most Asus notebooks take more than their supposed max memory. For exmaple, my G73JH is running 16GB and my N50 has been confirmed to run with 8GB of DDR2. There is a good chance it'll work, nut unless someone can confirm this for you, there's always a remote chance it won't.

Lol I think dav jw's use of a double negative confused you.

It should work, no guarantees but laptops that are locked to 4GB of RAM on a hardware level are few and far between.

That, plus being sick and just waking up. 2x8GB might be pushing it, but 2x4GB is almost guaranteed to work. It's not Asus style to limit the max amount of RAM possible in the bios.

It's usually limited by the RAM controller, part of the chipset, integrated in the Arrandale and later CPU's. Intel's spec sheet calls for 8GB RAM with the i5-430m, i3-330m, and i7-620m, although it does say "dependent on memory type". Sometimes 8GB will be supported by DDR2 800 vs 1066 only supporting 4GB. But more than likely 1066 should work at 8GB.
