    Hi guys

I want to buy a 24 inch external monitor for my XPS 1640.
I can't decide between the new U2410 or the ST2410.
I play wow for now and my concern is that i think the max resolution with this game is 1920*1080 so how will be the display on a 1920*1200 screen like the U2410 ? Will i have black bars on top and bottom ?
Should i go for the lower resolution ST2410 in 1920*1080 ?

Those 2 monitors are in special until tomorrow so i need to make a quick decision.

    Thanks for you advice everybody

What (if anything) else do you do? The game may do black bars or possibly just stretch the picture, hard to say. I found playing WoW a little odd on 16:9. I'd be surprised if it didn't support 1920*1200, I've had a quick look on google and can see nothing to suggest it doesn't.

I play wow on the XPS16 itself right now and 1920*1200 is not available in the video settings, do you think it is not showing up because the screen on the laptop does not support that resolution ?
I also do some photo editing but nothing professional, i just like good quality hardware, especially the monitor, but i don't want a stretched image.

WoW won't show resolutions higher than is available on the monitor it's being played on. I am confident WoW will support 1920*1200. As for 16:9 or 16:10 it's entirely up to you, having the laptop you do I'll presume you like 16:9 so 1920*1080 wouldn't be a problem. Personally I think I'd take 1920*1200 for the extra virtical res. WoW will take a slight hit on FPS though because of the extra pixels.
