This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     I am wondering if there will be a dramatic drop in prices for notebooks with the core duo 1 when the merom is released....and when exactly is it coming out.....after september? and by coming out...does that mean released or used in products....college starts very soon......

    I dont think that there will be much of a price drop. They already have some barebones with the AM2 socket. I would wait to the last minute to buy just in case there is a discount...like sometime in mid august.
