Is it worth to use TG Conductonaut on my Quadro M5000M?

Hello guys,
Idid re-paste the CPU on my HP Elitebook 8770W (i7 3840QM) and experienced a great result - CPU temp dropped down from 88-92C to 69-72C . Really awesome!
My GPU (Quadro M5000M) on the other hand has very quality ASIC - 77,3% and work without problems at 1185Mhz core O/C on 0,987V and runs pretty cool- 69-70C with TG Kryonaut.
I got Prema vBios which natively push a voltage of the core to 1.065V - at this voltage I can O/C the GPU to 1350Mhz, but the temps are rising up to 85-88C which I feel not really comfortable with..
For the CPU I did use thermal tape around the die, surrounded by a foam dam.
Do you think it is worthy to use Conductonaut on the GPU too? Will this lead to as successful result as it is for the CPU?

 

Nobody can give me an advise here?

Its the best thermal paste in the market (not counting with liquid metal) so, yes its worth it.

 

What do you mean, it is a liquid metal...
Did you mean that Kryonaut is the best paste not counting as liquid metal perhaps?
I did read somewhere among the threads here, that the gain is not so strong with LM on GPU as it is on the CPU....

 

A lot of people don't add LM to the GPU because it already runs cooler than the CPU. The worth of adding LM to your GPU is totally up to you. If you want the best possible temps then it may be worthwhile to you. I don't even LM my laptops anymore because it's not worth it to me, but that's my opinion. If you do go that route, just be sure to take your time and protect the surrounding SMDs.

 

I’m using a thermal tape around the die and foam dam above the surrounding tape to prevent leakages - hope this is enough as a prevention..

 

Yes I think LM on the GPU would be worth it if you plan to run it overclocked to 1350MHz, since you are currently getting up near the thermal limit at that speed.

My previous laptop had a 980M, which is the GeForce version of your M5000M, and I also ran it at 1350MHz, albeit at 1.1625V as my ASIC Quality was lower. My GPU power in HWiNFO topped out at about 150W at those settings, with GPU temps going up to about 80C, when using LM. Obviously being 0.1V lower your power draw/heat output should be quite a bit lower, but LM should still be beneficial.

Last thing I would keep an eye on is any black screening due to overheating GPU VRM MOSFETs under load. Make sure your heatsink makes good contact with the FETs, and use high quality thermal pads with good heat conductivity. The MXM versions of the 980M and M5000M are underbuilt and only have 3 GPU core FETs, which means the core can't take much more than 100W before the card craps out. My 980M was BGA with the full complement of 6 GPU core FETs, which is why it could handle the higher power draw.

And meanwhile I ordered a GTX 1070 on the PCB of Quadro P5000 on eBay and hopefully it will work on my 8770W DC2.
It will be a great step up from my current M5000m I think.
btw, what do you think about Arcric thermal pads 6 Wm/K?
