    Hey guys,

So my laptop took a pretty bad fall yesterday - it was still in its case though so most of the damage got saved - but it now has the following problems:

    1) The case is bent about a quarter of a cm - this occurs around the network / Power sockets at the back left side of the macbook pro

    2) My screen displays perfectly EXCEPT for anything that is WHITE. All plain white color is replaced with a light blue - if there is even a slight gradient or a light grey - it displays perfectly, but if it is pure white (such as googles search page) it turns into a flickering light blue.

I have attached a screenshot (which is a little dark cause its from my iphone) - you will notice that the chrome window is the perfect color but the google page is awash in blue.

Any help / advice that you can help me with would be greatly appreciated.

PS: If i switch the color mode on my laptop to Thousands (from Millions) - white appears fine but is flickering a LOT

Computer: I have a new Macbook Pro 15 inch standard lower end model.

    PLEASE HELP ME!!!

yeah, that sucks... my first thought would be to see what Apple can do or recommend. Not sure if they cover accidental spills/drops like Dell's "accidental protection plan" does. But it doesn't hurt to ask them. They could at least diagnose if its the video card, a connection or if the problem is with the monitor itself.

But I too would suggest you post in the Apple forum because you'll hopefully get less cynical replies than Antwerps. LOL

Clearly you've never owned a mac, because if you have you'd know it's more than just the hardware. It's the whole customer experience, one that I haven't been able to find with any other company... Sony included! But I do feel bad for the OP, what model MBP is it? unibody or no?

get the support working for you. most likely it's just the screen cable that got a bit disconnected, resulting in some wrong signal on the blue channel, or so. but what ever, they should repair it, hopefully for free.. just don't tell them you dropped it. so far, apple has been quite picky about faults people did cause.

once, they didn't repair one because the user smoked, and the smoke in the chassis could be dangerous for the repair workers.. or so the story goes :)
