Looking at the Hitachi 7K320, WD Black Scorpio, and Seagate Momentus drives. I want to get a 320GB model. I've read a lot of the WD and Seagates have clicking noises? But then I read the Hitachi might have too much vibration, and perhaps run hotter than the others?

Are they all pretty similar in terms of performance?

Looks like I can get the 7K320 from ZZF for $48 after rebate and with the BML discount. I'd have to pay over $70 for the WD or Seagate.

I dropped a 7K320 into my HP G70 as a day one upgrade from the factory Seagate 160.

Nary a problem in 4 month of use. I don't notice any heat problems or vibration. The drive is nice and quiet.

With this drive, Vista says I get a 5.6 score for disk transfer.
