Allright, I'm not much of a Tech-head, at least not when comes to processors so I have to ask these questions

Just wanted to know of there's much of a noticeable difference between a Core 2 Duo 1.8 Ghz processor and and 2.0 Ghz processor of the same type? Does a 1.8 processor mean a noticeable drop in performance compared to a 2 Ghz processor?

And oh yeah, the 2 Ghz processors have a 4mb cache. What's that supposed to mean? Does it make a big difference?

    Thanks A Lot!

You found the the most important place, not just 200Mhz but 2MB more L2! It all depends on what you do! 200Mhz is what it is! the 4MB L2 is about 10% faster clock for clock. For most of us it does not matter, both are very fast, but for you? What do you do? Normal stuff? don't matter, I would buy the better one if it cost $50 or less, if not only if I really needed it.

May be only for video compression, but even then the difference will be minimal (5-10% ;).

This question was broached already here and may be of some use to assist with the query.
