Well is there a way so that my laptop will automatically turn on when i open the lid.
Like if it is shut down for the night, and i open the lid the next morning, it should start automatically, is there a way to do that?

Well, the closest thing I can think of is putting the laptop to sleep. In my experiences, when I put my laptop to sleep and close the lid, the computer will automatically wake up and "turn on" again when i open the lid.

Unfortunately not all laptops have this option. My old gateway had it, but my new one doesn't. I need to push the power button to bring it back to live :)

I might be wrong but I think this option consist on a sensor on the lid catch, that acts like a power button. When the lid is open it brings back the laptop back to live after been asleep.
