Hey guys, notice when i run spybot search and destroy or malwarebytes, at a certain point my hard drive light stays on and it seems like the harddrive is stuck or soemthing so i have to restart my computer. I have a fijitsu mhz2250bh g2 250gb. Maybe is it a firmware problem. I cannot find any firmware for this hard drive.
Thanks guys

Not saying this IS the problem-but you may have a virus or infection that is stopping those programs. Tried running them in Safe mode? Do you have the most recent updates?
Do a search for Combofix (SDFix for XP). I have found it very helpful. If you have something running that shouldn't be it may find it. -
Ran it in safemode too. Samething happens but freezing. Combofix doesn't work for windows 7 64bit. And yes im on the most recent updates.

Probably is stuck on a corrupt file that it can't skip over

Have you run an antivirus scan? That should be the first thing you do. If you don't have an AV program, search on here for a list of good free ones. If that fails to help, I suggest you use system restore to go back to before this started happening. If you have an SSD and restore off, then If all else fails use your backup. (You do have your computer backed up?) After any/all of this, let us know what you find.

Ran seatools for windows and ran the short dst test and it failed?
What does this mean? -
Running a Seagate utility on a Fujitsu/Toshiba drive might not be giving you accurate diag information.
If another util is telling you that the drive is dead by accessing the SMART diag info, then it's probably dead. -
What other utility u guys recommend ?
Is there something wrong
