Hey guys, my computer died on me and I need to format my hdd before I sell it. The problem is I have no way of formating it, I have desktop pc but the connector for secondary hdd and laptop hdd is different
Is there a cable for exmple usb on one side and mobile hdd connector on the other ? Or maybe dektop connector to laptop, kind of hard to explain what I mean![]()

What type of hard drive is it? SATA or PATA? Either way, any USB to HDD adapter (and yes, they exist, are widely available, and cheap) will usually be able to connect to any of the three common drive types (desktop IDE, laptop IDE, and SATA). Desktop IDE and SATA drives usually need an additional power brick and adapter for power, but any USB to HDD kit you buy should have those too.
