I have a Gateway NX100 and I'm wondernig if I can use the following RAM in a 2x1GB configuration without any problems?

I think my laptop currently have a 2x512MB configuration for a total of 1GB. Not sure what is the speed and brand of the RAM, but I know it's DDR2 SO-DIMM.

No one here knows?

You'll forgive us... But you posted at 3AM EST...
The ram should be compatible... Most laptops have interchangeable ram with the so-dimm interface.

Why dont you open up your laptop and see if it looks like that.
Remember to pay attention to the notches... the Wiki page explains pretty well -
Download CPU-Z it's free it will tell you what speed RAM you have. You are correct DDR2 SODIMM, question is it 5300/5400 or 4200/4300?

Well I hope you have not purchased the RAM already, as your system (the same as mine) has but a SINGLE so-dimm slot! I made the mistake of thinking it had two, so instead of getting a 2gb module i bought a 1gb module (thinking 1.5gb would be sufficient).
So in reality you can only upgrade your system to 2GB of RAM.
Is this RAM compatible with my Gateway NX100?
