    Is this a decent deal for a USB harddrive?

    I'm thinking about getting it...

    One of my friends mentioned that he got a 500gb external for $100, but I find that hard to believe :eek: So, is this a decent price? It's the cheapest I've seen this particular harddrive, actually. And, from what I've read, it seems to be a pretty decent harddrive. Even comes with eSATA.

    That looks good to me. Brand name, Good retailer, eSATA. There are cheaper HDD's but if you like this it is a fair price go for it.

    I have WD USB 2.0 and I like very much!

    there was a deal for a western digital 500gb external going on like a month ago at a couple different places...seem its gone by =\
    but yea, yours is defiantly not a bad pick. good name and reliable. =)

    You can, but do you really want to? The last thing you want is a cheap enclosure which bakes your drive, and slow chips for the interface.
