    The Seagate drive you mention is the fastest notebook hard drive you can buy so it will be a bit overpriced. However, as with any new technology, early adopters pay to have the best.

    Yeah, thats about what I paid for my 100 gb 7200 rpm 2.5" drive I think.

    You will see most places selling it for 180$

    As posted you're paying a premium for the fastest hard drive. For comparison, I've seen the 160GB 5400RPM drives go for $105. The Seagate 160GB 5400RPM goes for $125 on Newegg.com.

    If you can get the drive for $180, that's a decent price.
