    hi guys

i think there might be a problem with my optical drive.
i try to burn a data DVD using Roxio 9 edition and the writing speeds are very slow (around .019x) when in the options place i set the drive to 8x. oh and the burn process fails after 2 hours of writing (28% ;). i have the same problem using deepburner free and nero 6 oem edition.
is it a problem with my drive....if so where can i get a replacement drive?

    i have a QSI DVD+-RW SDW-082 drive with firmware LX41

Go into Device Manager, IDE ATA/ATAPI Controller>Primary IDE Channel (for most machines anyway)>Properties>Advanced Settings and make sure the Transfer Mode for both devices are DMA, not PIO.
