Is the Intel(R) Core(TM) Solo processor T1350 (1.86 GHz) any good? Anybody have one and can share their experiences with it?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

P.S. I'm not too computer part savvy.. so I may not understand what you're saying.

it is not a bad processor (think p-m with a faster FSB) but a Core Duo will be a better fit, and aren't that much more expensive. It would be a worth-while upgrade. Be aware that the current generation of processors are dual-core and have 64 bit computing ability.

Consider either a Core 2 Duo or a Turion X2.

If you are in the market for a new computer, maybe you should fill out the FAQ, it is likely that we can find a much better computer for you.

    Thanks.

I already filled out the faq.. and it said I should go with the HP dv200z, but I think I'm going to go with the dv200t.

There's a $60 dollar difference between the Solo and the Duo. Is it worth it?

Same fsb as a pentium-M (533Mhz) but a different core (65nm technology instead of 90nm). It'll be marginally faster than an equivalent pentium-M so far from slow, but of course not as rapid as a core duo.
