Yep. It screams typical Chinese scam website:
    • Images are hot-links(looks like it stole Amazon's content).
    • Verisign/other authentication are just images and not links.
    • Whois is from last year.
    • Checkout is not secure/encrypted.
    • Sections of texts are copied from other sites

Another way you can use on top of that is check for a street address and then check with google map's street view. Doesn't work for all of course, but it's worth a shot.

    No That is not normal.

For example, take a look at tigerdirect.com's page:
TigerDirect.com - Electronics, Tablets, Phones, Office Supplies & Video Games

Click them and they actually go to secure websites that mention tigerdirect specificlally. The Visa and Mastercard ones are for added protection for the cardholder and only work from the main site.

Not all sites will have all of them, but they should have at least a few. Some of the verification are free, such as the paypal one(provides if free since they make money on fees).
<!-- Begin Official PayPal Seal --> [IMG]<!-- End Official PayPal Seal -->
      (mine)

Though, Greg's advice is still the best as anything can be hacked.

      @Tsunade_Hime
Time to learn to enjoy flash based browser games. Then you won't have to worry about getting a powerful video card(GMA 900 + Pentium M FTW) :p

You can always humor them and see if they take paypal.

I found a site with a Sony SA for 300$ or so and signed up and everything. Selected Paypal as my payment method, and the site said, "Ok now we send you confirmation email for you to send payment" :p But I never got an email!
    They fail even at scamming.

Lol, just noticed the price, isn't a 570m worth more than that alone?
Now this is a legit cheap MSI barebones:

Yeah I've been thinking about that one, 5730M isn't too shabby, Arrandale i5's are relatively cheap now, RAM cheap. The LCD has decent viewing angles and color gamut, just 1368x768 on 15.6" kinda sucks. I think 5730M is MXM 3.0A, I think best upgrade is 6770M, but dunno if the MSI will accept it as it has switchable graphics, and has a proprietary MSI driver (I could not use official ATI drivers).
