What does it mean that it is a Dell part? Are the specs the same? I will install it in a Alienware. Thanks

Dell parts aren't "fake", just branded with a Dell part number. HP and Lenovo do something funky with their chips as their whitelist WLAN cards in their BIOS.

So this Dell wifi card is up to par with all other Intel 6300? Would work in my m17x r3? Thanks

AFAIK it should work, I've bought plenty of Dell branded Intel WLAN cards and never had an issue, though I only order from US sellers not from outside the US.
