    I would be upgrading from a 1.6GHz T5470 to a 2.0GHz T7250. The overall cost goes from 850 to 880 basically.

I'd say its worth it, especially since you'll have some spare CPU power in case you need it in the future.

I'd say it's worth it too. In the future, you'll be glad you upgraded.

Alright, I just need to find a way to either upgrade or cancel my current order. Off to the dell forums to find out how.

Alright. I am canceling my current order and getting the new system. Wish I had seen that earlier. Jokingly, anyone know of any coupons for the system (vostro 1500, 8600GT, etc)

Check the Dell Coupons. You'll probably find one for the 1530, but not the Vostro.

I can't configure a system with the same price and options as the vostro even with the discount. The vostro seems like pretty good deal to me.

As Greg said, but you might not be able to do better. When I price Inspiron vs Vostro, Vostro usually comes up better (I always price performance on a budget) $880 for that is already a deal, but good luck.
