Dear Notebook Review users,
I have recently attempted to replace a damaged LTN133AT23-801 screen within the laptop model as title with ones sourced from a particular well known online market site. Sadly, despite having received two (a second was a 'firmware updated' model) neither had worked correctly. Instead, I got distorted colours shown on-screen:

You can see images of the original cracked screen along with the attempted new one. Now, I can only see that the model number differs based on the -801 on the original versus -001 on the replacements. Surely this wouldn't affect anything major enough to cause what I'm seeing?
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what is wrong? No other sellers seem to be knowledgable enough to understand the issue, they just optimistically claim that their screens are compatible.
Thanks

Hi John, thanks for that but unfortunately it's not quite relevant.
I instead contacted Samsung direct who have informed me of the best plan - to contact their authorised repair centres across the UK. One such centre has replied with the price of the LCD part now being £125 GBP +VAT instead of the £45 I was spending on screens from that certain online market.
A real shame - but hopefully this will solve it! I'll post back should I succeed.
