You've all been very helpful helping me decide on a new monitor. This one..
Amazon.com: ASUS VH198T 19-Inch Widescreen LED Monitor: Computer & Accessories
Now I need a cord from my PC to this monitor (I have a Dell Studio 1555 less than 2yrs. old and I will only be using it as a basic monitor) But it will need to be about 20 feet long or so and I have absolutely no idea what kind of cable to look for. Can someone please advise me. Thanks and I won't bug you again...not today anyway. lol:D

A super long VGA cable? Your Studio 1555 has HDMI, why not consider a monitor with HDMI port?

Thanks but I'm not sure what HDMI is but if I get the monitor in the link above with this cable will the monitor work? Length is perfect. Thanks

Just note that long VGA cable may have interference. (like bad TV reception)

Usually only if you get over 150' or so, the output device is insufficiently amplified, or you're in an extremely electrically noisy environment (which, to be fair, the OP may be, if you read his previous thread!)

Something like this would let you connect your laptop HDMI to the monitor's DVI input.

That's very interesting. I'll look into this.
