    I think you did good. iomagic is not shady.
    The Company sells its many products under three brand names -- I/OMagic, Hi-Val and Digital Research Technologies
    Digital Research used to be a brand name I had a CD-RW from them.

    One thing I think somtimes get lost with high tech is it is not like making a bad hamburger. The burger stand costs $100,000 the Hightech company costs millions maybe hundreds of millions so a screw up costs a lot so they try to avoid that. Also every brand name does not actually make the Drives themselves just like Clevo and others are ODM and others OEM them. Same with HDD's. So that's My opinion!
