Now I have a few questions.
I am wondering if it is worth re formating to NTFS (I think that is what it is), instead of FAT32. Are there any disadvantages of this (a mac will not have to get the data)? I am probably going to have some greater than 4GB files down the road.
Are there any good free encryption softwares? I would be nice if it could at least identify my own computer.
And right now I am just doing a control C for copping over data. Is that bad for large amounts of data (geater tha 100GB)?

There are to many mistakes and it is in the wrong section, just better starting over.
Thank you though. -
Change it to NTFS. FAT32 allows for compatability with other systems (namely Mac) or viewable from DOS, but since DOS doesn't really have a USB driver, it's of little use. NTFS will also lessen the chance of corrupting data should you prematurely pull the USB cord out. It should be more efficient too.
Just got my passport HD
