Ok it's shown up in the Device Manager, It shows up in the BIOS. But it doesn't show up for me to use. Can anyone explain this to me? I got it brand new and it's never been used before. Waht should i do? Should i boot into linux off of a live cd and reformat said partition?

You don't have to resort to using a LiveCD.

    Start
    Right Click on My Computer
    Manage
    Disk Management

    And Format.
