    no reason in general, im just looking for good compatible m2 ssd that wont kill me on price.

    I prefer Samsung NVMe with MLC nand. But take a look here and here You will find more with a search.
    WD was known for their HD, but M.2 ssd's is new tech for them.

    My personal preference is Samsung, but WD is so far solid, at least in terms of initial quality. Haven't had them long enough to say for reliability.
