Hello guys I recently tried to repaste/repad my ASUS ROG GL702ZC and the pads that i tried to use were the arctic 1mm which when sat on the vRAM the heatsink didnt make good enough contact with the gpu, the 0,5mm ones were too thin on the other hand and i THINK that they didnt make good contact since i tried to stick an A4 paper between the pad and the heatsink on the most accessible vRAM and it was clearly going through. I searched online and it seemed that this K5-PRO is meant to replace pads and eliminate the problem of thickness. Any1 has any experience with that specific thermal "goop"? Asus seemed to use a similar substance on my notebook to cover the chips. I really dont want my vRAM melting on my 0,5mm pads. Thanks in advance.

Yeah sounds like you will benefit. My yuge VC heatsink sits nicely on now without any shims with this goop all over the 1080s. I got a half dozen of the twisty stick applicators but by chance had 10ml plastic syringes of the same diameter which I was able to transfer it into, the small outlet made it a LOT less messy to apply especially in the areas where a fair bit of the stuff needs to fill a ~3mm gap over the VRMs on the edge of the GPU boards.

Thank you very much for the reply! Im gonna try apply it and hope that my vRAMS dont burst in flames have your thermals been great in your notebook while using it? No artifacts and overheating?
