I know its got a good Warranty and everything, and the version thats 24" is suppose to be great. I can get 400 bucks and I want to know if its worth the extra 50 bucks. It sounds like it is, but I want to be sure.

also I will be able to use either the HDMI in on my laptop or the VGA port to hook it up. And I will be able to put in the RGB cords from my xbox 360 Pro into it? Not the elite so I dont have HDMI.
-
Personally I would avoid KDS, I have heard nothing but problems coming from them. I would stick to a more major brand name such as Viewsonic or Samsung or possibly even HP.
-
Ive heard a lot of good stuff from them especially with their 24" model, IDC about backlight bleeding or bad coloring. I just want to be sure it will work with my ports. If it costs an extra 50 to hook up my xbxo Im 100 percent for it! and Ill get bigger monitor

ummm help?

Mine arrives tomorrow; I will quickly report back to NBR! -
thanks a lot, just try to ignore ignorant people like that. It is clear that he has never owned a kds and is trying to justify his pruchase over a kds.

Next time watch who you call ignorant. -
My KDS 26" arrived a few hours ago. First impression: WOW. It is well packaged, beautiful, and includes a sturdy cast aluminum stand. I have been testing it to find any stuck or dead pixels, and have found none. The monitor includes a DVI-D cable, VGA, and a bonus HDMI to DVI-D. I have my Xbox going through the HDMI and my PC through the DVI-D.
The colors are quite vivid, and no noticeable backlight bleed. The only thing that bothered me was some kind of powder all along the edges of the monitor, which I promptly removed with a Q-tip.
In conclusion: BUY ONE!
Please post or PM with any additional questions or requests, as I really dont know how to properly judge a display in an objective way. The picture is visually pleasing to me, and as a result I am very happy with my purchase. -
hwos your xbox look cause im going to do that too
-
Looks great! I have no complaints about the built-in speakers either.
-
thinking of getting one. is mwav3 a reliable site coz im considering snatching from them with lower s/h compared to where you got yours...
also, i own a 15" LCD KDS multimedia monitor for over 3 years now and still no worries, not even any backlighting problems. sticker at the back says made in usa with KDSusa tag on the side.
i wonder where this new 26" monitor was manufactured - -
who cares 3 year warrenty sounds o nice to me lol and its 26" for so cheap its worht it no doubt.
-
The chance of anyone knowing three people with the same monitor are pretty small to begin with. However, the chances that the same three people had one monitor die at 53 weeks, and the other two at 105 weeks seems astronomical (vs made up.) -

TrashCanner: I'll vouch for MWave. I've been buying from them since before Newegg came around. Very fast shipping and they've been good about the occasional product return. MWave and Newegg are my two favorite toy stores.

I'm really curious about overscan on the KDS. Does the following image scale correctly? Please save it and set it as your desktop background and let us know if it displays properly. The circle should be round not elliptical.

I'm about ready to order one of these 26" KDS monitors but I want to make sure it maps correctly.
Thanks...
EDIT:
Here are better instructions for testing:

FYI:
I found another forum to run the overscan/scaling tests and the KDS 26" performs flawlessly.

No need for anyone else to test now.
Thanks...
