I would like to buy a PS/2 to USB converter and use my old mouse and keyboard through a 20 ft. USB extension cable into my notebook's USB port. Will this cause any problems? Noticeable lag etc.?

I seem to recall USB to be limited to 12 ft. runs and then a repeater/boostr is recommended.

As it is a direct connection, I can't see lag being a problem though - but I've never seen anything longer than about 8 ft. for keyboards though.

    Good luck.
