I have a 1.5 year old Toshiba Satellite running Vista 64 bit.

Sometimes if I type "e", I get "e3", "t" is "t5", "u" is "u7", "i" is "i8" and "o" is "o9". Sometimes the keyboard work fine. The other keys are ok.

When I use a USB keyboard, I don't have any problems.

I'm wondering if this is a hardware or OS problem?

There are some weird problems with my computer. I cannot let is "sleep", as it never wakes properly. If I leave the USB keyboard plugged in, the display never turns off after it's been inactive. Normally, I would think the keyboard needs to be replaced, but with these other glitches, it might be the OS.

A while back I posted that my login password was not working. The keyboard problem is why I didn't work. At the time I did realize it since the password is hidden.

    Thanks
