I have read so many reviews on so many specs that I don't think I have any questions left, with the exception of one Very Big question (important to me).

Today, after having lots of time in BB to actually test a variety of laptops I came to a rather disturbing realization. My hands are so big, and I am so big in general, that I feel I have to have the closest possible to a full size keyboard without starting at ground zero learning typing all over again.

 Now, for the big question:
Generally speaking, do you have to get a 17 inch monitor or a 16. something in order to have the full size keyboard, with as little flex as possible?
Does it depend on brand too? Any other variables related to keyboard size?

ALL thoughts are appreciated since this is putting me back to the drawing board in choosing something.

Most notebooks have full-sized keyboards, including my 13.3" Dell. If you need a separate numeric keypad you will typically have to get around a 17" screen or more.

Flex and keyboard quality depends on manufacturer and model.

There are a lot of variables with keyboards. Taking a specific model from a specific company, Lenovo T400, search the forum to see the varied responses for keyboard parts and their flex. Companies typically use several manufacturers for parts and it's pretty much luck of the draw what you get.

I never thought of the luck of the draw being involved for specific laptops. Makes sense though since the same thing applies to screens in the models I was researching.
Does the XPS 1330 have the same size keyboard as the the 1530?

    Yes it does.

If you are not traveling a lot, then you can always use an external keyboard.
