I've looked at some of the products at www.screentekinc.com and they supported laptop LCD replacements for Quanta laptops. I couldn't find one that would give me a resolution of at least 1600 x 1200. My laptop screen size is 15.0". According to screentek, 15.0" laptops are capable of having a resolution of 1024 x 768, 1400 x 1050, 1600 x 1200 and 2048 x 1536. Only downside is they didn't sell any LCD replacements that offered a resolution higher than 1024 x 768. Does anyone happen to know where to get one by any chance?

P.S. It's not suggested to do LCD upgrades and replacements and whatnot, but I love tinkering with my laptop, so...save the precautions if you will bother to post ^-^

From what I understand, the LCD connection is actually fairly standardized since OEM/ODMs like to have choice among LCD suppliers and switch around quite often.

Perhaps you can take apart ur notebook and take a photo of the connection at the back of your current LCD, and email the pic to Screentekinc (or other company that sells screens) and see if they have any UXGA screens that matches the same connector. I know the 15" Thinkpads have UXGA screens so those might work.

Here's an ebay auction on a T42p 15" UXGA screen if you're willing to take a gamble.

Oh, just searching for 'UXGA screen' on ebay came up with a bunch more results. Here's just a used LG Philip UXGA panel that's going for pretty cheap.
