    Hi there

I currently have a HP NX6325 laptop with a 15" monitor which supports only 1024x768 max resolution which I believe is XGA. I was wondering if I got hold of the NX6325 model LCD panel (SXGA) that supports say 1280 x 1024 resolution, would I be able to install that monitor into my existing laptop?

I think the inverters would not be compatible but if i got the inverter for the SXGA monitor and installed it into mine would that work? My graphics card on the laptop supports greater than 1024 x 768 but im limited by the actual monitor itself.

    Thanks
    Ryan :)

This is just a guess but most likely you would not even need a new invertor. HP probably uses the same invertor whether the laptop shipped with XGA or SXGA LCD. As long as you get the correct LCD you should be okay.

If i were you i wouold just try the SXGA LCd with the old invertor.

Please post how it goes. My father has an nx6325. I might consider doing this as well.
