Hi guys,i have a Toshiba Satellite a200, and last Monday the LCD started to turn black after a couple of minutes sometimes seconds but the desktop was still there and the laptop worked normally.I knew that the inverter was turning me down,so i bought another one from a guy,he had a satellite a200 pro,but i guessed that wouldn't be a problem plus his inverter was working just fine on his machine and the connectors matched. When i plugged the board on my machine the screen on my laptop lit up but now has a weird flicker and the inverter makes a sound(a buzz), that means that the LCD is broken or the inverter incompatible?
Note: also there are some extra circuits on the new board and microcips.

Did you check to see if your lcd cable connections were good and not frayed or gone bad? I would say put back the old components and turn back on you laptop and see if the screen goes black. Then take a flashlight and shine on the LCD at a angle and if do it correctly you might see the desktop on the dark LCD screen if you do see this then it means a bad backlight and unless you can take apart the LCD correctly and replace the backlight it usually means you have to buy a new complete LCD and replace you old LCD.

I know that the inverter is bad, because with the old one i got backlight illumination for afew seconds then the display went black...and with the new one the light in uniform except the flicker , and yes i checked the cables and they don't seem damaged or fried and the connection is good

Well then go to ebay if you can and or find the model number on your old inverter and order a replacement matching inverter and give that a try to see if the will bring new life to you laptop. The flicker does it do it if you move the screen up and down? I know I bought a hp dv5 that the screen flicker if you move the lcd up and down and the fix was to replace the lcd cable and that fixed the screen from flickering off and on or going dark and back if you moved it a little you would get the desktop back.

Moving the LCD panel won't solve the problem,i tried that...in a few days I'll but a new inverter with the exact serial number and i think the inconvenience will be solved...a technician told me that i bought the wrong one and i must take it out immediately before i fry the LCD
