Hey there, hoping someone has some insight to help me here. My laptop looks like this:

It works fine on an external monitor. What could cause this effect? The symptoms don't seem to match what I've read for LCD, inverter, or backlight failure. Any thoughts?

    cheers,
    Lee

Looks like a bad video card or wrong refresh rate set for the LCD to me, which does not make sense as a external monitor works fine.

Do you maybe have the settings wrong for the LCD monitor?

Don't think so, it just kinda started one day while I was using the laptop.. It started off where I could use the laptop for a bit and then it would happen after a few minutes, and now I can't use it at all. :( I appreciate your time in having a look though!
