Hola, long time lurker first time poster... desperation forcing delurking in the hope some kind soul can help!

I have a HP/Compaq 8510p that's been excellent up until a recent tap today. The screen now bleeds to white/grey from the edges and into the centre. However, if you tweak the laptop screen (one hand on each top edge, twist very slightly) it comes back to a perfect fully functional picture, release it, and it bleeds from the outside gradually to white/grey again.

Obviously, pretty impossible to use in this manner, just wondering if it's a new LCD time or if there is the chance of a connector/joint that's amiss that would be a simple enough fix. Can any knights in shining armour offer any advice?

    Cheers!
