Or more importantly, will it work at that resolution? (without looking stretched)

I only ask because my last computer ran on the GMA 945 chipset and for some reason i remember that its native resolution (can video cards even have native resolutions?) was 1440 x 900, which was perfect because I got an LCD to match.

So i got a new notebook and now i have the x3100 video card (integrated yes.. kill me later). Is there any "preferred resolution" for this card?

    Thanks.

The Intel GMA X3100 has a maximum resolution of 2048x1536 at a refresh rate of 60 Hz

Dont try play 3d games at those resolutions though, the x3100 will choke

the preferred resolution for the x3100 or any other graphics is the max resolution of your laptop LCD panel.
