I have an LG FS Express Dual (model LGF1) notebook. Recently the battery light started flashing red and blue. The notebook will not turn on without AC power. A friend has the same type of NB and my battery worked fine in his computer. The power icon in my tray says "No battery is detected". The battery light sometimes flashes red/blue, sometimes doesn't come on at all and sometimes is blue (as if it's charging the battery - but it still says "No battery is detected".

Any ideas? I'm hoping it's not the motherboard, but I suspect it could be.

    Thanks

The battery could possibly be broken or defective. Maybe the port that connects the battery as well.

If your friend has the same battery/pc, try using his battery and see if the same results.

Maybe one of the "battery pins" are bent or just dirty on your nb, where you insert the battery on your nb. That's my thought if it works with AC-adapter inserted and the battery runs fine on your friends nb.
