If you go by benchmarks - no, the M4 will not be 'better'.

Real world use though is another story: 256GB always trounces 128GB... from a performance and usability viewpoint.

Even so, I would not be tempted to upgrade a tablet... a horror story waiting to happen.

No matter what tablet you'll be upgrading; it won't be a walk in the park.

    Good luck.

Huh, much easier to do than I expected - still lot's of opportunity to fry the unit.

When did he disconnect the battery? I hope I just missed it (and it hope it was the first thing he did...

Well, didn't know which tablet it was - thanks for the link!

(the wrong aspect video made me chuckle too...). :)

    Thanks (battery info).

Yeah, since this is a tablet, I would agree that the performance difference will be very hard to tell.

I don't rely on it at all except for quick responses on forums - but it is a quick and dirty way to a single point of comparison for brute/raw processor power between different systems.

(And I'm rating this cpu low on the overall scale because it is barely ~70% faster than the over 3.5 year old i3 350M I know - or looked another way - it is almost 4x slower than a currently available mobile cpu).

So yeah, it will limit the performance of all the sub systems attached (including the SSD).
