Hello everyone, I'd like to know whether the LP173WF4-SPD1 display is compatible with an Alienware 17 R2. The laptop currenty has an LP173WF4-SPF1 unit installed. Would like to know if the two models are interchangeable. Thanks in advance for the help.

Should be compatibale, did you break your old monitor, both screens are pretty much identical.

I've done some research and apparently they're not. The SPD1 is thicker and taller. I've managed to find and SPF1 in the mean time. The old display didn't break but has gotten a nasty blue spot over 1/4 of the screen and it wasn't pretty to look at.
