    Laptop CPU Upgrade Question

    The current CPU in my laptop is SocketP. Can a Q9000 which is also SocketP be installed into this laptop ? The FSB is the same for both the CPU I have installed, and the Q9000.

    It's a laptop, a Toshiba. I gave the specifications.

    Actually, no you haven't. Socket P does not mean it will take the Q9000 successfully.

    Model number would be more useful.

    I don't think so. The BIOS may not support it.

    I doubt it will support quad cores but should support dual and extreme dual cores like X9100 and T9900...
