Would I notice any difference from a Nvidia Go 6100SE (3 years ago) to the Intel(R) HD Graphics?

Also between a Core i3 and a Core i5 with the Intel HD Graphics, would there be a difference since one may have more head room to "overclock" the GPU

    Thanks.

Intel will let you play HD video, i suppose the Nvidia Go don't. But in 3D i doubt you'll have any substancial difference.

You don't seee why you'll need to overclock an Intel GPU.
i3 don't have turboboost while i5(not sure if all models) have.

The Intel GMAHD will perform pretty closely to what the ATI Radeon HD4200 is capable of, which completely disgraces the 6100 that even the GMA950 was better than.

Edit* I should point out that the GMA950 had the edge because of driver optimizations, and NOT because of HW. Hardware wise the 6100 is still abysmal, but also the NForce 430 chipset was HORRIBLE. I could go on, but I'll stop there. :)

Intel's GMA HD is still quite a bit behind AMD's HD 4200 from what I've seen in games.

Hmm... It seems quite capable of the basics to me... The 9400m still trumps it though. Also, the mobile i-series has the same 766MHz core clock, with it dropping to 500MHz for power savings.
