    Laptop Hard Drives,how to set master and slave

    I am trying to install raid on my laptop how ever when i have both in ,it freezes following bios check,i believe it is something to do with the four extra pins on the harddrive,any ideas?thanks.

    You must check your BIOS first if your laptop can support 2 harddrives. 1 for primary master, another should primarly salve or secondary master and so on.
    Suppose you have to read the maual first, and vertify the manual mention about the 2 harddrive installation. If not, a jumper have to be set, but a small jumper is not come with normally. The default setting without any jumper is set as a master.

    what does the jumper look like? i think thats what i have to do,the manual is a bit sketchy,,

    laptop hard's jumper look like the desktop's hard drive one, but the size is very small. I have one which is from Seagate HD.
