Hopefully this is in the right section.

So here's my problem. I've got a LTN170x2-l02 Samsung WXGA+ LCD screen that I salvaged off a dead laptop. I'd like to use it as an external monitor for my Asus eee PC, but I don't know how I could connect it. It's got a plug I don't recognize, it's white with a bunch of small, square evenly spaced holes and won't fit with the external monitor port on the eee pc. Does anyone know what type of connector this is? Is there anyway to get a converter to connect it to netbook?

    Thanks for any help.

The plug is a standard LVDS connector 9 times out of 10. But it seems like a project to me! Maybe you could look up a pinout and ghetto rig it. I'd definately be interested in where this thread goes if so, because I've got several old LCD panels around here that would be fun to mod.

It looks like you are probably right. I guess I would have to somehow attach the lvds to the 15 pin D-Sub Display Output (looked it up in my manual). I'm not sure how I would do that.
