I have an HP dv9700t and got the remote with it. I want to be able to use the arrows on it to navigate my screen like a mouse. And the Ok button as click, etc. My Friend can do this, although he has a Macbook Pro, im assuming there is some program i can download for me to be able to, right? If you know one, please give me a link to download, thank you.

The only way you could do this, if HP provided software for the remote.
You would have to use the provided remote software to set the up button to move the cursor up and so forth.
If Hp does not have any drivers on your computer, or on their website, than most likely you cannot use the remote as a mouse.
I do not think there are any 3rd party software written to code a remote for a mouse.
You could simply by a smaller wireless mouse or something like that, if portability is an issue.
