If you are running modded video drivers, you will have this problem. Especially if you use the newest ones from laptopvideo2go.com They explain this about their cards. I believe if you search those forums it will help you find the problem.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Jack,

I have the same problem. Hibernate works fine, but standby with external disk on USB does what you are describing. Standby without the external disk works fine though.

It does the same with official ATi drivers and modded desktop drivers. I think I managed once to wake it up properly, but I just don't remember what was the thing.

    Cheers,

I have no external HD but I do use Omega drivers for ATi. Is this my problem?

I do remember standby working properly before

Try upgrading the drivers...do a full un-install and reinstall of the drivers. Make sure you remove it from the registry. They is a guide on how to do it at Laptopvideo2go.com. Then re-install different drivers and see if you have the same problem.

    Hope this helps.
