This may be a silly question![]()
I once heard that mobile phones could damage laptops and PC hardware. Is this true? And that we shouldn't bring our mobile phones too close to our laptops (or PCs).

Yes that's why they had infrared ports on laptops which required mobile phones to be in line of sight to communicate
a mobile phone is just a tiny computer with a radio type signal, no different to a laptop and bluetooth or wireless or RF even.
when your cell phone is about to receive a call or msg, waves of interference would start appearing on your CRT monitor but with LCDs we dont see that issue anymore, that's all -
they should not interfere in any possible way, including the wireless.......
