I've just got my XPS M1530 last week.
    Configs:
    Core 2 Duo T9300
    4GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT 256 MB
200 GB 7200 rpm Free Fall Sensor

    What I want to ask:
    1. Is it ok to have the battery plugged on with the AC Adapter also plugged in when I use the laptop?
Is it ok for the battery? I heard a lot of opinion saying that doing so will make the battery performance quickly decreased in a short period( maybe not until 1 year it will drop )

    2. How long usually it take to get the laptop battery fully charged? 2 hours? or more?

    3. How long does normal laptop battery usually last for normal usage like email. web surfing, word processing but with medium screen brightness? Or it depend on the laptop configuration like mine?

It was on a FULL charged condition after 8 hours FIRST TIME Charge.

I use a fully charged battery for email, surfing and word processing and it goes to 24% ( the battery indicator indicates LOW battery ) for about 1 HOUR ONLY.
Is it normal looking at my configurations above?

    4. For the first time I boot up my laptop it ONLY SHOWS 94%. How can it be? Why it did not 100%? It was on a FULL charged condition after 8 hours FIRST TIME Charge.

    5. How to use battery to get a longer performance? Is there any special tips for doing so?

    Thank you very much.
