Just bought my first laptop. I wonder how to clean your laptop of any dust etc. especially the glossy screen. Some special care needed?
Also what is the average life span of a battery pack with moderate laptop use( I mean on average after how much time you need to replace the battery pack and how to know that it is needed to bereplaced now).
What is the best way to prolong the battery life.According to my laptop,s manul
1- Once the laptop,s battery pack is fully charged, remove the Power supply and use loptop only on battery power until the battery pack completely discharges to increase the battery life.
2-Also leaving the AC adapter connected wil shorten the battery life.
3-If you have extra battey pack, rotate their use. It wil extend battery life.
Any comments?

One has to be very careful with the screen. You should get a microfiber clothe and cleaning solution. They make kit. You should charge and discharge your battery a couple of time when you first get it. Using the AC adpater won't hurt the battery. It stops charging when it hits 100%.

it should but sometimes it doesnt stop. If you over charge it becomes harder for the battery to read a full charge, so then it stops the charging sooner, very gradually. I dont remember why, but i just remember an article about it on zdnet.com. ill try to find it. with the screen be careful. glossy screens dont scratch easier but they show them more. Use the clothes you get at the eyedoctors for glasses. When using a solution dont put it on the screen, put it into the cloth so none gets into the etges of the frame and lingers.....
